Sea Shack in Paternoster

Sea Shack has Family Bungalows and Queen Rooms with sea views. The rooms are simple eco-style cabins: there is no electricity or plug points in the rooms, so bring a headlamp for charging phones or laptops. Bedding is provided, but towels are not. Bathroom facilities are shared and include hot-water showers and long-drop toilets.

There is no restaurant. The shared kitchen has gas stoves, fridges, freezers, utensils, and tables and chairs. Guests bring their own food and cook their own meals. Barbecue facilities are available, and firewood can be bought on site. Restaurants in Paternoster are a 15-minute drive away.

The property sits directly on the beach. Swimming, fishing, hiking, and beach walks are all possible. Board games and puzzles are available, and free WiFi works in public areas. The West Coast National Park surrounds the property, with routes for walking and driving. Bird life is common along the shore.

Sea Shack is on its own bay inside the West Coast National Park, about a 15-minute drive from Paternoster. Cape Town International Airport is 200 km away. The access road is a rough dirt road, so a 4x4 is recommended. Free on-site parking is available, including accessible parking spaces.

Reception is staffed by Afrikaans and English speakers. The accommodation is self-catering, and there is no room service. Guests can use the shared kitchen, barbecue facilities, and communal fridges.
